"I will Set Up Interest Free Women Empowerment Fund" Ramadan

The Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition Nationa Democratic Congress (NDC) for Adentan Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan has said he will establish a woman empowerment fund to support women entrepreneurs in the constituency if elected at the December 7, 2020 polls. Speaking to party supporters at the Adenta Shopping Centre during a campaign meeting with the Vineyard Branch of the NDC, on Thursday, September 24, 2020, Mr. Adamu Ramadan revealed that the majority of women in the constituency are artisans and entrepreneurs adding that he has the plan to empower them with an interest-free business support loans through the Adentan Woman Empowerment Fund if given the mandate to represent them in parliament come January 2021. To help the fund achieve its intended purpose, he said independent fund managers will be appointed to help in the proper administration of the fund and to help the fund revolve. Ramadan Empathises With Frafraha Fire Victims

Over 50 persons have been rendered homeless as a result of a fire outbreak at Adenta Frafraha on Friday at dawn. The incident which occurred in the early parts of Friday, September 25, 2020, resulted in about 25 kiosks serving as housing units to the victims being burnt to ashes.  Narrating the incident to GhanaWeb TV, the Landlord of the affected victims, Ernest Armah, said the fire was detected at 4 am in one of the closely arranged kiosks and spread to others after an LPG cylinder in the kiosk exploded in the process.  He said after failing to control the fire, they made a call to the fire service unit in the area who showed up in about 20 minutes to put out the fire.  Whiles all the 25 kiosks were burnt to ashes, no casualty was recorded.  Speaking to a victim whose room the fire is said to have started from, he refuted the blame and said the fire could have been as a result of an electrical fault.  “They just confronted me that it started in my room. Last weekend witnessed at least three health walks in the Adentan Constituency organised mainly by activists of the National Democratic Congress. This weekend will not be an exception as several banners have already flooded social media. The most notable being spearheaded by the NDC leadership in the Nmai Dzorn Electoral Area. The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Adentan Constituency and the former Presidential Staffer under John Mahama administration participated in two health walks in his constituency this morning.  The first walk was organised by the NDC New Legon Ward. The Assembly Member for the New Legon Electoral Area, Hon. Tony Blair was a key participant throughout the walk. About five hundred people turned up for the health walk.  Interestingly, some okada riders could not afford to miss the opportunity to tell the NDC PC to thank the Presidential Candidate for the NDC, John Mahama for his pledge to legalise and regulate the okada business. Oman Ghana News spotted bikers who number over hundred who participated in the walk.  From the New Legon Health Walk, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate joined the Ashiyie youth for another health walk which was heavily patronised by youth.

Zongo Caucus Meets Adentan Muslims On People's Manifesto

The National Zongo Caucus Coordinator of the NDC and his entourage paid a visit to the Adentan Constituency this afternoon as part of steps to highlight the importance of the NDC 2020 manifesto to the Zongo Communities.  The National Zongo Caucus Coordinator was accompanied by Alhaji Sheriff (National Executive Committee Member), Alhaji Naziru Mohammed (Communication Director,National Zongo Caucus), Mustapha Ahmed(Former MP for Aywaso East) and many others.
