Book Title: Politics of Deceit Betrayal and Unkept Promises Author: Paramza Kofi Hamza Chapter 1 continues (Flashback to when Agama held a meeting with his team and told them he needed someone with masters to be his research assistant. After distributing 5kg rice and few 1 litter cooking oil which did not reach everyone in the gathering, Agama proceeded to make a surprise announcement). Agama the Big Lizard: Thank you all for your kind support to me during my campaign. Without you this victory wouldn't have been possible. I want to let you know that as your member of parliament, I am entitled to choose one research assistant. This research assistant will be paid from the coffers of parliament. The eligible candidate must have masters. (The whole room was quiet as though cold water had been poured on everyone). President Mahama's Appointment of Young People Shocked Ghanaians

Image
Let's be optimistic comrades, I am particularly excited about the youthful nature of president Mahama's nominees. I recall a discussion I was having with some comrades at a base in Adenta prior to the nominations where I said I was interested in being the CEO of Forestry Commission or National Youth Authority and I was laughed at. My own friends felt like "eii CEO paa! Isn't it too big? Why don't you look for some errand job at some ministry?😂 Well, when the nominations started flowing, they were like " Hamza, after all, you can also be a CEO." The fact is that president Mahama has swerved everyone, surprised all of us. Nobody foresaw these appointments, not even me. We were all thinking he was going to re-appoint his former appointees or old people. As it turned out, all his appointments have been revolutionary. Everyone is shocked by the appointments. What am I driving at? Let us be happy for our comrades both seniors and juniors who have attracted th...

Reset Ghana and make Ghana greater and better again

Image
Fellow citizens, the clock is ticking and we are very close to kicking out the most useless government in the history of Ghana. This is not an NDC matter. This must be our collective duty as citizens. As a Ghanaian, ask yourself this simple question: are you better off today than the last seven years? I don't intend to bore you with the knitty gritty of the economy.  You reading, you know how expensive it is to buy waakye or a ball of kenkey today as compared to 2016 when Mahama was president. It's entirely up to you to reflect on your living condition and decide who you should vote for.  Please, stop saying NDC and NPP are the same so you will not vote again. That assertion is absolutely unfortunate. Again, I don't want to bore you today by reiterating what NDC has achieved. You and I know that NDC is far far better manager of the economy than the NPP. I entreat you today to reset your mind and reconsider your decision not to vote in the upcoming election which is 30 days ...

NDC 2024 Manifesto Explained

Image
Mahama's Building The Ghana We Want Together 2024 Manifesto Agenda emphasizes unity and oness of Ghana as a nation. Historically, NDC has always been the political party that welcomes everyone regardless of origin, tribe or religion. It doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, the NDC would accept you.  The theme of this 2024 manifesto aims at reemphasizimg these significant values. That is the NDC is not a party for a specific tribe or group. It is a party for all. Considering Mahama's contribution to the development of Ashanti Region in the past, a region largely viewed as an opposition backyard, it is easier to accept the notion that Mahama will not discriminate against anyone or any region should he be reelected as president of Ghana.  There is a certain perception that the NDC is a party for Ewes and Northerners. This is a false perception considering the overall success of the NDC across the country. The NDC has broken through all aspects of sectarianism, tribalis...

NDC Is Battle Ready For 2024- Sidii

Image
PRESS RELEASE For immediate release: 26TH APRIL, 2024 Dear President Akuffo-Addo, A RESPONSE TO YOUR FRIVOLOUS AND CRASS INSENSITIVE PUBLIC PROCLAMATION ON YOUR DECISION NOT TO HAND OVER POWER TO THE NEXT NDC GOVERNMENT I am writing to you today as the former National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to express my utmost disgust and outrage at your recent statement proclaiming that you would not hand over power to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama should he be elected President of Ghana in the upcoming December 7th, 2024 elections. Your proclamation is an expression of your insensitivity to our democracy and a blatant disregard for the will of the Ghanaian people. It is a slap in the face of every Ghanaian who believes in the principles of democracy and the rule of law. Your failure and mismanagement of the economy have led our beloved country into a state of economic hardship, and Ghanaians are eager to take you out of office through the ballot box. Should Gh...

"Be The Face and Good Ambassadors of the NDC". Mohammed Adamu Ramadan to Branch Executives

Image
The Member of Parliament for the Adentan, *Hon. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan*, in his interaction with the branch executives of Ogbojo, New Adentan and Nii Ashaley wards yesterday as part of his six-day engagement of the branch executives codenamed: *Ward Visitation*, advised the members to be good ambassadors of the party. *"Politics, the way I understand it, is essentially about developing relationships. Let us relate well with the people in our community. Someone will vote for the NDC because of your behaviour. Another person will vote against the NDC because of your behaviour as an executive because as an executive you are the face of the party at  your branch".* The MP also cautioned the members *not to sleep on the job* because the 2024 election is critical.  *"In the 2024 elections, the NPP will behave like when you are trapped in a closed room with a cat and the cat has no escaped route. Since the cat has no escaped route, it will attack you. My advice is that we shoul...

Life is not fair, get used to it and move on

Image
My good friend Kojo Akyina lost his life in what appears to be a ritual murder. His manhood was cut off and he was left to bleed to death in a suburb of Kumasi. When we were growing up, Akyina being a talented footballer wanted to play at the highest level until he met his untimely death. Two years now his murderers have not been found. If ever they were pursued in the first place. What a world?  My nephew of almost the same age who was my childhood friend died a couple of years ago after a short illness. Pappa, left a wife and four little kids and he didn't witness his 40th birthday. The news of his death was broken to me at dawn. It was so shocking to me to the extent that after two years of his demise, I put my phone on silent every night when I am about to go to bed. Life!  When I was a child I wanted to be a medical doctor when I grew up. I am not a medical doctor now and I don't even know what I want to become. Behind the  sweet smiles of men, there is a bitter sadness wo...

Hon. Ramadan Supports 50 Needy Tertiary Students

Image
The Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, has given financial support to over fifty needy tertiary students in his constituency. The source of funding is the MP's Common Fund. The MP's office however declined to make available a list of the beneficiaries to Adenta News insisting that the list was a confidential document.  Adenta News is reliably informed that the MP for Adentan has also undertaken several projects to improve upon the standard of education in the Adentan Constituency. In October last year for instance, he donated a laptop to a student of DeYoungster's School who was a second runner up in the Citi fm's "Literacy Challenge".  Shortly after he took over from the NPP's Buaben Asamoa, Hon. Ramadan donated stationery worth ¢10,000 to the Adentan GES office to be distributed to schools in the municipality (My first day at school). The MP for Adentan is a shining example to the youth. His selfless service...

Turmoil Hits Ayawaso North NDC

Image
A group of disgruntled NDC members of the North Ayawaso Constituency stormed the Constituency’s Executive meeting last Friday to demand the reinstatement of their suspended constituency chairman, Mr. Ahmed Tahiru. The group on Friday 20th May 2020 stormed an ongoing Constituency Executive meeting at Mamobi-Adansiman, in the Ayawaso North constituency to register their displeasure at the manner in which the party leadership handled an incident that occurred between the suspended chairman and the first national vice chairman, Alhaji Said Sinare. They bemoaned the astonishing lack of urgency in resolving the the problem.  During the protest, the leader of the group, Mr Mohammed Sani stated; “We concede that, our former chairman exercised indiscretion in handling the matter which almost invariably brought the party’s name into disrepute, particularly giving the positions both occupy within the NDC party. We therefore condemned his actions while accepting the decision of the party to invoke...
