The much publicised Dr Bawumiah's visit to the Ashaley Botwe Central Mosque turned sour as the Vice President was late for the prayers.  Dr Mahamadu Bawumiah in smock The Imam who had finished his sermon at exactly 1pm had to plead with the congregants to wait for the veep to show up.  At half past one, Dr Bawumiah reported for prayers amidst protest from the congregants who couldn't believe a whole Jummah prayers could be delayed because of a mere mortal. Such scenes are very rare in our part of the world   In anger, more than half of the congregants left the mosque as soon as the imam concluded the prayers despite him pleading with the congregation to wait for the veep to speak.  Dr Bawumiah was accompanied by the MCE for the Adentan Municipality and the Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency. 

Oman Ghana News can confirm that the NDC branch in Adenta will embark on a massive campaign this weekend starting today Friday 20th November 2020. Sources close to the 2020 flagbearer of the NDC has revealed that Mr John Mahama will not be in the Adentan Constituency as announced earlier. The entire day 5 of his Greater Accra itinerary has been rescheduled to Tuesday the 3rd of November 2020. John Dramani Mahama Instead the NDC flagbearer will be in Buipe for a conference by the Fulani Community. The 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in the Adentan Constituency, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, is expected to accompany the NDC flagbearer to the programme in Buipe. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan (middle) It is not clear whether Mr Ramadan's presence at the Fulani Community conference along with Mr Mahama is to counter the second lady's increasing intrusion into that community. The flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, is expected to visit the Adentan Constituency on Saturday 31st October, 2020 as part of his planned itinerary for the Greater Accra Region.  Mr Mahama is expected to make 3 stops in the Adentan Constituency ie Ashaley Botwe, Adenta and Amrahia. He is expected to address a mini rally at Amrahia where his tour of Adentan will end. Oman Ghana News has sighted some pictures and video making round on social media in which the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Adentan Constituency, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, was heard pledging to uphold peace before, during and after the 2020 elections. When our reporter contacted a member of the NDC Parliamentary Candidate's team,Vera Mensah for information, she explained that the programme was an initiative organised by the Church of Pentecost, Ogbojo Branch. It aimed at bringing all election related personnel under one umbrella and commit them to sign up for a peace treaty in election 2020. According to her, the congregation were extremely pleased with the presence of Mohammed Ramadan because it rained heavily just before the programme started late afternoon yesterday and the organisers thought the programme was bound to fail.
